The Treanor Family
home family member links family history

There are Treanors all around the US. This site chronicles the family that emigrated from Ireland, first to Canada, and then to Buffalo, NY, where many of them still reside. Our ancestral ties were researched and maintained by Charles Treanor, who spent many years traveling back and forth documenting the family history in small communities in Ireland. His notebook on the subject is available for perusal under the 'family history' page. Chuck also was instrumental, as the president of the sponsoring Western NY Irish Famine Commemoration Committee, in the installation of a stone monument to the Potato Famine on the Buffalo waterfront in 1997.
